Since the Sea Venture wrecked on this island in 1609, this island has continued to inspire awe and fascination.
Whether it is the pink sandy beaches, to the gorgeous sea life, to even the friendly locals, this island has
continued to elicit wonder in all those who walk along its shores. Originally, it was called the "isle of devils"
for it's screatching cahows (an endemic bird) and the fact that most sailors prior to colonization would only stop
by due to a hurricane tearing through the seas around it. Now, it is considered paradise for it's year round warmth
and pink sand beaches.

A small archipelago, only 54 sq km (21 sq mi) wide, with around 60,000 people
